Thank you for visiting GaFelta Stitch, a fiber arts studio specializing in wool felt goods, hand embroidery, appliqué, Japanese fabric, Sashiko stitching, Boro-inspired patchwork, darning, mending. Located in the Asheville, North Carolina, GaFelta Stitch draws inspiration from textile designs and stitching practices around the world.
We offer handmade goods through various outlets, including the Local Cloth Retail Shop, the Big Crafty markets, and by commission. Please checkout the Gallery page for examples of our work.
We offer scheduled instruction through the Local Cloth studio, the Blue Ridge Fiberfest, and various public libraries. Private and semi-private lessons may be scheduled at the atelier in North Asheville.
Volunteer mending services are available through the WNC Repair Cafe. We are not accepting mending commissions at this time.
